Costa de La Luz (Coast of Light) is a largely undiscovered region of Southern Spain reaching from Ayamonte close to the Portuguese border to Tarifa at Spain's most southerly tip with its view across the Straits of Gibralta to the parched Moroccan landscape. Stretching eastwards from the Algarve which is, of course, part of Portugal, the area is affectionately termed The Spanish Algarve and provides a beautiful stretch of coastline characterised by long sandy beaches and exceptionally strong, pure light which gives the area its name, Coast of Light.
